# Glossary

> The words the wall and these docs use, one word per thing.

| Word | Meaning |
|---|---|
| **wall** | The 64 cells, A1 to H8, on the plaza of the city. |
| **cell** | One of the 64 places on the wall, named by its address. |
| **address** | A cell's name: a column letter and a row number, such as D4. |
| **claim** | Buying a free cell, at step 1, for $30. |
| **buy out** | Buying a taken cell at its next step; the owner cannot refuse. |
| **step** | The number of the purchase a cell is at; the price of step n is $30 × 1.65^(n−1). |
| **owner** | Whoever bought a cell last. |
| **earlier owner** | Anyone who owned a cell before its current owner. |
| **royalty** | An earlier owner's share of every later sale of a cell, forever. |
| **fee** | The platform's 2% of each buyout. |
| **profile** | Your nickname, avatar or photo and links, shown on every cell you own. |
| **boards** | The three screens that show the three priciest cells, No. 1 to No. 3. |
| **wallet** | Your account: it pays, it owns, it is paid. |
